How to deposit a check to USAA?

In the modern world, banking has become more convenient than ever before. With the advent of technology, many banks have introduced mobile banking services that allow customers to perform a variety of transactions from the comfort of their homes. One such bank is the United Services Automobile Association (USAA), a Texas-based Fortune 500 diversified financial services group of companies. USAA provides banking services to people and families that serve, or served, in the United States military. One of the services offered by USAA is the ability to deposit checks remotely, which has become a necessity in today’s fast-paced world.

How to deposit a check to USAA? The process is straightforward and can be done using the USAA Mobile App. The Deposit@Mobile feature on the USAA Mobile App allows you to deposit checks into your USAA Federal Savings Bank accounts in a few simple steps. This feature accepts a variety of check types, including personal checks, cashier’s checks, teller checks, and corporate checks. However, foreign checks must be deposited by mail.

To deposit a check using the USAA Mobile App, you first need to log into your USAA account on your mobile device. Once logged in, select “Deposit.” You will then be prompted to take a picture of the front and back of your check. It’s important to ensure that the check is placed on a dark surface in a well-lit area for the best image quality. After capturing the images, choose the account where you want the check to be deposited. Enter the amount of your check and select “Deposit” to complete the transaction.

The funds deposited using the service are generally made available to you the first business day after the day that USAA receives your deposit. However, USAA may hold all, or a portion of the funds deposited with the service, and any hold times and amounts will be displayed within the USAA Mobile App at the time of the deposit. The deposit limits vary from member to member, and your limit is displayed when you start your deposit.

In addition to mobile check deposits, USAA also offers the option to deposit checks at select ATMs. All you need is your USAA ATM/debit card – there’s no deposit slip or envelope required. Cash and check deposits at ATMs are generally made available by the next business day after the day of deposit. However, USAA may hold all, or a portion of the check, deposited and will notify you of any hold times and amounts.

If you prefer to make a deposit by mail, you need to include a deposit slip or the deposit may be returned to you. Deposit slips and postage-paid envelopes are free and can be ordered from Harland Clarke. Checks from US Banks are generally available the next business day after the day of deposit is received. However, foreign check collections may take longer, but the money is generally available in 14 business days.
